Crofton at the Constructing Excellence Awards 2016

Tuesday, July 26, 2016

Crofton, the consulting engineer with offices in London, Kent and Sussex, is proud to have been a finalist in the Integration and Collaborative Working Category at the Constructing Excellence Awards 2016 gala dinner and awards ceremony for the London and the South East sector which took place on 30 June 2016 in the Nine Kings Suite, the Lancaster hotel, London.

Crofton was shortlisted for its contribution to the Holborough Lakes School project, in Snodland, Kent.

Mark Legg, Crofton’ Business Development Manager, says, “We were disappointed not to win but we were up against strong competition including Mott MacDonald, Mouchel Consulting and Turner & Townsend."

The winner was Transport for London to whom we extend our warmest congratulations.

“Our award submission was particularly purposeful for Crofton Design because it shows how five competent and successful businesses in their own right, who have efficiently integrated technology, and more specifically BIM and Virtual Reality, can come together to collaborate and co-create an environment that meets and exceeds the client’s brief and expectation.

“At team level this co-working exercise with parties extraneous to our organisation forced us to approach the project as a team and become inclusive, to repress our naturally competitive nature and channel our combative instincts towards the collective’s outcomes, in order to build on our already solid foundations for effective collaboration on a project that would benefit a local community,” added Legg.
