RICS London Awards 2012

27-Apr-2012

We are delighted that our client, The National Trust, has won the Design and Innovation category at the RICS London Awards 2012 for the sustainable refurbishment of the stable block at Morden Hall Park, Surrey.

Crofton was commissioned by the National Trust to provide structural engineering services as part of the renovation works. This included assessment of the building structures through to detailed design of strengthening and repair works and structural alterations to the stable buildings at the 19th century site.

Mark Taylor, Structural Director said: “It was great to be involved with such a ground breaking project. Its sustainability will ensure that the building is at the heart of the park’s operation for many years too come. We’re now working on the second phase of the project, which involves installing hydro-power onsite.”
