Excellence in Engineering

Engineering Development Trust

Engineering Development TrustCrofton is proud to be involved with the Engineering Development Trust’s ‘Engineering Education’ scheme. Aimed at 16-17 year olds, the students work with our engineers on real projects and engineering problems to give them a taste of life in the industry and allow them to put their knowledge to practical use.

During the academic year 2010/11, Crofton worked with Sutton Valence School in Kent and Mill Hill School in London.

Sixth form students from Sutton Valence School engaged with the structures team in Hadlow to design foundations for temporary structures, while in the London office, students from Fortismere School worked on zero carbon housing solutions with the mechanical and electrical teams.

If your school is interested in taking part in the scheme, please contact chris.ward@e-trust.org.uk
