Excellence in Engineering

Sovereign Court

Sovereign Court is a new development of approximately 420 apartments and commercial space, located in Hammersmith.

Crofton were commissioned by St George West London to provide building services for the first phase of the construction works, which comprises of the energy centre, approximately 260 apartments, ground floor commercial space and underground car park.

There is a mixture of apartment designs across the development;
Luxury penthouses located on the top level of each block
1, 2 and 3 bed private apartments
1-bed Manhattan (affordable) apartments

Facilities within the development include an underground car park, gymnasium, concierge accommodation.
The energy centre will serve the whole development, and plays a central role in ensuring carbon emission levels are 20% lower than 2010 regulations.

It achieves this through its capacity to provide low temperature hot water for generating domestic hot water and base space heating load. The energy centre employs combined heat and power plant (CHP) to generate hot water and electrical power, together with high efficiency condensing boilers, both coupled to high capacity thermal storage. The low temperature hot water (LTHW) generated within the energy centre is conducted through district, highly insulated heating mains to serve each apartment.

Electrical power is generated throughout the development by solar photovoltaics, and low energy LED lighting has been designed to further
Situated on the ground floor of the development, the commercial areas will be designed to achieve BREEAM Very Good rating.
We have undertaken this project using a BIM approach for the plant areas, basement car parks, risers and principal distribution, in the first phase of the construction and are currently engaged to complete design on the second phase employing BIM more extensively.
